Supporting LOCOG with its work on LGBT at the Olympic and Paralympic Games 2012.
Ongoing work with RFL (rugby league). Devising and delivering an equality training programme to Ground Safety Officers at Rugby League stadia.
The co-delivery of two sports-themed LGBT History Month Pre-Launch conferences hosted at Twickenham by RFU and at The Oval by England & Wales Cricket Board.
LGBT inclusion training modules for Sports Coach UK
Pride Sports Director, Louise Englefield authored an LGBT inclusion good practice guide for the Council of Europe.
Working with Sheffield Eagles RLFC to deliver an ‘LGBT History Month Match’ which saw the UK’s first professional sports team wearing an ‘anti-homophobia’ campaign slogan on their team kit.
Worked with the European Gay and Lesbian Sports Federation (EGLSF) to organise Euro Pride House in Warsaw, Poland – an anti-homophobia space for football fans to gather, watch the Euros 2012 and network.
- Founding and ongoing sponsorship of Manchester’s only LGBT basketball club.
- Sponsorship of the Manchester Canalsiders – the world’s first LGBT Rugby League club.
Delivering a range of training, advice and guidance on LGBT inclusion to the English FA during the 2011/12 season, including working with The Justin Campaign to deliver a pilot programme of Football v Homophobia training workshops to County Football Associations. These were very highly evaluated by participants.
Supporting the Government Equalities Office with the development and dissemination of the Charter Against Homophobia and Transphobia in Sport.
