‘It has been brilliant for the Lancashire Cricket Board to be working in partnership with Pride Sports and to be a part of Pride Games this year. We have been working hard over the last 18 months with different communities promoting and sustaining cricket in club environments and in wider forms recreational forms of the game. With the high LGBT presence in Manchester and the growth in popularity of cricket it has been a great time to team up and engage actively with a large community. Our cricket sessions have been a huge success and personally it has been fantastic making cricket more inclusive of the LGBT community and to promote the game both socially for spectating at Emirates Old Trafford and increasing participation within the Manchester area. I hope that we will continue to work together and build strong sustainable links within the LGBT community in the future.’
